Hi, this is Arnav Gattani. I am building Picket, backed by YC, making construction twice as productive because America should start building cool things again.
I graduated from Penn with a double major in CS and Physics with minors in Math and data science, and completed an MEng in CS (keeping my parents happy). Previously, I worked at AWS implementing models for Amazon's earliest AI rollouts, and before that designed nano-sensors at NASA Ames to detect anthrax agents.I am from Sunnyvale and now live in SF. Bay area born and brewed.
I spend a lot of time thinking about how AI can rewire the core processes of physical industries, the backbone of our civilization. I've written papers on using algorithms to fix America's inefficient wind farms and a PAC‑learning framework to resolve AI biases. Earlier on, I led the youngest team ever to win an XPRIZE, topographically mapping the ocean floor, and winning a million dollars from NOAA, the US Department of Commerce.
I travel a lot. 43 countries so far, from Oman to Japan to Peru. I also dabble in poker: I recently won at the Aria Poker Classic in Vegas. I started the flagship poker club at Penn, now sponsored by some of the world's top trading firms.
